Summary
“Delicious Italian favourites”, “efficient service with a smile” and a “great family vibe” is the formula that makes this Golders Green institution so popular. “I remember bringing my girlfriends here when I was a teenager, so it’s been serving pizza and pasta for a very long time!”. “Don’t worry about its location under the railway arches – the noise of the trains is drowned out by the noise of the customers”.

Tucked into the railway arches by Golders Green tube, this family-friendly trattoria has been a linchpin of local life for as long as anyone can recall. “The pizzas and pasta are better than average, but nothing very special. What makes this place buzz is the charming service and the reasonable prices. I’ve been coming here since I was a teenager, and the fact that it is still going, and is always full and buzzy, must say something!”.

For 32 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

L’Artista Restaurant Diner Reviews

"This is our local Italian restaurant and we have been going for many years. It is still popular but the standard of cooking has dropped. This time 3 of us had pasta and one a pizza. The pasta was poor. Overcooked with poor sauce. The pizza was quite good. Two guys cook it in a separate part of the restaurant. The service is fast considering the numbers served. "
