Andrei Lussmann has another go at a London opening twenty years after his first with this summer 2024 arrival in Highgate: the sixth in his Hertfordshire-focused chain. Opposite Waterlow Park, with 130 covers dinin, it incorporates a café-style area for coffee, a new bar featuring beers from Hertfordshire’s Mad Squirrel brewery, and a walled garden seating 30. The seasonal menu focuses on high welfare meat, sustainable seafood, and British vegetables. The Lussmanns locals set menu, available from 12pm-6.30pm daily, is £20.95 for two courses and £23.95 for three.

This Highgate yearling from Andrei Lussmann makes a “very pleasant addition to the local restaurant scene” and is a “welcome replacement for Cote” on the same site. (It is the sixth venue in a Hertfordshire-based group – but the first in London for two decades.) “Good value and consistent, if not spectacular”, the sum is more than the parts, with most reporters happy to say they “will try it again”.
