Stalwart Indian veggie in Wembley, which has developed over 35 years from a family fruit ’n’ veg stall to a full-fledged restaurant (with branches in Hounslow and Hatch End). There’s a “really good variety of cuisine, with Indo-Chinese on the side”, with “something to suit everyone… except carnivores”. Opinions differ on whether the buffet option or main menu is the best way to go: either way it’s cheap as chips.

“Probably the best-value buffet in London” (served through breakfast and lunch) draws fans of veggie Indian fare from far and wide to this mainstay of Wembley’s Ealing Road (which at other times sells a less interesting fast-foodish menu incorporating street food, pizza and Indo-Chinese dishes). There’s also been a sibling in Hatch End since September 2017.

For 30 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
