“Straightforward Turkish food at a relatively sensible price (for the Square Mile)” is the simple proposition at this “useful” and well-established small chain. They get pretty “packed and noisy at lunchtime with a boisterous City clientele”.
“Fabulous smells, reliable cooking and rapid service” make this Turkish group a popular choice for a “self-funded lunch” in the Square Mile. On the downside, they can be “far too noisy for conversation” and sometimes the food is no more than “predictable, going on adequate”.
“Still a decent option in the City” for a cheapo bite – these “functional” Turkish operations offer “tasty grills” and “a wide selection of mezze”. They are “aimed at the business crowd and perhaps tourists” – particularly the “lovely, large venue at St Paul’s”.
These “large” busy Turkish operations across the City provide a solid, affordable, relatively healthy offering. It’s “a fuel stop not an occasion” though – the style’s a bit “characterless” and the food’s “OK so far as it goes, but wouldn’t win any prizes”.
