“On a warm summer’s day, the roof garden is a secluded and delightful place to escape the pressure of the Square Mile”, say fans of D&D London’s long-established, 7th-floor perch, just a stone’s throw from Bank. Squarely aimed at a “very City clientele”, it’s a “swanky expense-accounter venue, whose starched napery will not disappoint your visiting client from NYC”; and where a meal can be started with preprandial drinks on the terrace. Fans feel it offers “high quality, well-prepared” French cuisine – the more downbeat version is that it’s “pricey for what it provides”: either way, you get “a great view!”
“Fantastic in the summer, with amazing views over the City” – D&D’s London’s stalwart rooftop brasserie is still, after all these years, a striking venue, complete with gardens and adjoining bar, and its classic Gallic fare is “reliable” if “not cheap”. Despite its handy location right by Bank, it’s perhaps “no longer the business must-do it used to be”, but nevertheless still a regular choice for legions of Square Mile expense-accounters.
“Whisking up in a lift and having it open onto a gorgeous rooftop” helps set up good vibes – especially for expense-accounters – at D&D London’s well-known landmark, “in the heart of the City” (right by Bank). “You are paying for the view” to some extent, but its current culinary performance is “sound – perfectly OK without being exceptional”.
“Ideal for City entertaining” – D&D London’s central landmark, right by Bank, boasts a wonderful rooftop location (and you can drink outside in the bar). It perennially seems “expensive for what it is” however, mixing “average food, with some good views, and silly prices”.
