“Welcoming service” in particular has helped make this prehistoric taverna a popular fixture off Exmouth Market for more than 50 years, and old-timers say “nothing has changed” over the years (“although one brother retired”, apparently). But if “it’s a wonder this place survives, look at the price of the set lunch” – £7 for three courses! (which fans insist is “always reliable and great value”).
This “tiny, welcoming Greek” off Exmouth Market “hasn’t changed in 40 years”. The “real taverna feel” makes it an eternal “great favourite” for regulars, even if, in contemporary culinary terms, it is arguably no more than “hanging in there”.
“You will have to travel a very long way to beat the value for money offered by this eatery off the middle of Exmouth Market” – a 50-year-old survivor that’s changed little over the years. The main concern? – “where will I eat if the owner retires!”
“Almost as good as a Greek holiday”, say fans of this “cheap ’n’ cheerful” taverna near Sadler’s Wells – “ancient waiters” provide “a warm welcome” and the nosh has been “consistent over decades”.
