A café-cum-wine-bar focused on light lunches and seasonal plates that pair well with a glass of vino, not far from Hipster (sorry, we mean Hackney!) Central station. Beneath the restaurant is a 'makers’ basement', where the team distill vermouth for the bar, cure meats, pickle veg and even mold ceramics for the tables upstairs. Founded by chef Magnus Reid (founder of CREAM and former Rooftop Café) and Andy Kanter. The name of course derives from oenophile terminology - legs being the droplets that form on the inside of the wine glass. Let the 'good legs!' puns commence.
Harden's survey result
This hip yearling from Aussie chef Magnus Reid (founder of Shoreditch coffeehouse C.R.E.A.M.) “never disappoints”, with “great” modern dishes and a “relaxing” boho atmosphere. Diners perch facing the window looking across to the new Hackney Walk fashion hub, and there’s an interesting list of small producer wines (the name, ‘Legs’, is wine lingo).
A new café-cum-wine-bar (the name being a nod to wine-anorak terminology), not far from Hipster (sorry, we mean Hackney!) Central station. Beneath the restaurant is a ‘makers’ basement’, where the team distil vermouth for the bar, cure meats, pickle veg and even mould ceramics for the tables upstairs [oh good grief, Ed]! It’s the brainchild of chef Magnus Reid (founder of Shoreditch hangout CREAM) and Andy Kanter. Just one early survey report, but it’s mega-enthusiastic, and some early media reviews likewise give it a big thumbs up.
