“Love, love, love sitting outside on a summer‘s evening” – this Grade II listed Docklands tavern has a riverside location to die for (10 minutes walk from Canary Wharf and opposite The O2) and a cosy historic interior too. Its days as a foodie magnet are long gone nowadays though – expect OK scoff, but no better than at others in the Fullers chain.

A spectacular riverside setting, directly opposite The O2, sets the scene at this Grade II-listed Docklands tavern, ten minutes’ walk from Canary Wharf. Run by Fuller’s, its “enjoyable food and lovely cocktails” are best enjoyed from the large modern terrace in summer.

Directly across the Thames from the O2 – and a short drive from Canary Wharf – this Grade II listed tavern benefits from a superb waterside location, characterful old interior and large modern terrace. Nowadays run by Fuller’s, it’s not a foodie pub as it was a few years ago, but still wins praise for “great food, super cocktails and friendly staff”.

A “lovely river view” is the making of this substantial Grade II listed Georgian Docklands pub from Fullers, directly opposite the 02 Centre. The proximity to Canary Wharf means it is somewhat pitched to a business clientele, with upscale food and smart table dressings.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
