“Consistently very good food” results from the menu of small sharing plates at this modern Levantine duo in Marylebone and Shoreditch, created by Israeli-born cook Limor Chen and her husband Amir. There’s a “buzzy atmosphere without being too noisy” and a playlist that channels the Tel Aviv vibe.

“Exceptional Middle Eastern food” and “lovely staff” tick all the boxes at this modern duo in Shoreditch and Marylebone, from Tel Aviv-born cook Limor Chen and husband Amir. “It’s hard to find interesting and well-priced venues in Marylebone, but Delamina manages both”. It’s a “small-plates, sharing concept and every dish is delicious”, with a “beautiful combination of flavours”“great with allergies too”.

“Really interesting food combinations from the Levant” make self-taught chef Limor Chen and husband Amir’s stripped-down Shoreditch and Marylebone venues worthwhile additions to London’s “Middle East-with-a-twist” dining scene. It’s “another of the small-plate trends with the now-familiar land, sea, earth menu – but packed with flavour”. A natural choice for veggies and vegans, too.

“Part of the new craze for ‘modern-Israeli-style’ cuisine” – self-taught chef, Limor Chen (with the help of partner Amir) provides “a different take on the ubiquitous Ottolenghi or Palomar approach” at this low-key restaurant near the Wigmore Hall – a kind of “British Middle Eastern food”, which “features lots of vegetables, like the spicy okra tempura and charred cauliflower, which are delicious (and I don’t normally go for veg’!)”. “Nice people run the place” too, which is decked out with the “on-trend, stripped-back, filament-lightbulb look”. Its “buzzing and fun” E1 spin-off inspires less feedback, but gets an equally good rep.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
