Harden's says

Merseyside doctors and long-time friends Meenal Abhyankar and Dhanya Kalathil, are the driving force behind this new Indian venture on the docks in Liverpool, in collaboration with chefs, Shipra Khanna and Anahita Dhondy. Going for a cuzza after a stressful day on the wards, they “always felt there was something missing when it came to Indian food” in The Pool, and this is their “authentic, exciting and different” answer to filling the gap.

For 35 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

"The menu felt confused, offering dishes that were starngely named neither truly Indian nor Chinese, with very limited choices. Portion sizes were surprisingly small, more like kid servings than full meals. What stood out most was that even the staff seemed unsure whether the food was Indian or Hakka, which didn’t inspire confidence. While the starters were acceptable, they didn’t live up to the hype and certainly weren’t worth the high prices. Overall, the experience was underwhelming, lacking both authenticity and value"
