“A great find out in an area of relative culinary wilderness” – Tristan & Candy Mason’s well-established destination occupies a converted sixteenth-century building in the town centre, complete with pitched roof and wood beams. There’s a range of fixed menus from three courses for £30 up to eight courses for £90, and the modern British dishes are “beautiful” – “creative (but not gimmicky)”. Top Tip – it has a bar where they serve breakfast and brunch.
Tristan & Candy Mason have just celebrated the 10th year of their town-centre venue, which wins consistently high ratings for “really ‘next-level’ cuisine”. “Tristan is an outstanding chef producing wonderful meals”, fans agree, while “Candy ensures the high service standards”. There were some minor rumblings this year about the fact that it’s “not cheap”, but even a reporter who felt it was “overpriced” said the food’s “very good”.
“In a very old building in the centre of Horsham”, Tristan & Candy Mason’s “always friendly” spot is “an ideal place for that special night out”. Tristan’s “almost faultless” food comes at “remarkably reasonable prices”, while his “partner ensures the service is very good”.
“New furniture and redecoration since the fire at Christmas has if anything spruced-up the atmosphere” at Tristan Mason’s 16th-century building in the town centre. “Service is now very good, as his wife Candy has improved the front of house”, and his “terrific and clever cuisine” continues to offer an “exceptional gastronomic experience”.
