A “great fit-out” of a former bank has resulted in this very cool destination, run by two alumni of the Moorcock Inn at Sowerby Bridge. It’s “a lovely place to while away a couple of hours” (in the company of your canine if you like), where the concise menu revolves around punchy and “great small plates, including charcuterie and cheese” and there’s “a dependable wine list too”.

“A fabulous new addition to the valley” – this “lovely new bar” occupies a “fantastically converted former bank which is bright, airy and lots of fun”. It has a “great wine list with some really interesting orange and natural wines” and a “great selection of beers”. “Plates of well-sourced charcuterie and top-notch cheeses feature alongside a smattering of oysters mignonette, a potato fondue or a pork katsu to flesh out the small but precise menu”.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

"It is more a tapas place than a restaurant. It isn’t a place for a meal or coherent dining experience. Great bar with snacks though."

"Great and excellent value food. it's a small place and there's not a huge menu, but what they do serve is brilliant. Probably not a 'destination restaurant', but if you are in the area and want a bite to eat there's not many places do it better"
