Consistently good feedback once again on this stylish and “cosy” picture-lined basement in Stockbridge, which produces quality Scottish-accented cuisine.
For 31 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

The Stockbridge Restaurant Diner Reviews

"Well prepared food - halibut with Jerusalem artichoke and hazelnut was the standout. However, some dishes were a bit too experimental ( hand dived scallops with overwhelmed by the tadka, mango and cauliflower pakora). Efficient, professional service. "

"We have eaten at The Stockbridge restaurant several times over recent years. The food has always been good. It was a real surprise and a great disappointment to us on our recent visit to experience a huge fall in standards. It could be Covid or Brexit or just an off night but our experience did not match the previous reviews. Starter one and a half scallops for a £3 supplement; pork terrine tasteless, fish undercooked and under seasoned and a malt gateaux really heavy. On the plus side the wine list was short and interesting and the amuse bouche were lovely. It is a pity about the rest."
