For 25 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. This year diners have submitted over 60,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK.
“Even better now they take bookings!” – Mitch Tonks’ “buzzy” original riverside chippie offers “nothing fancy, but super-fresh fish, beautifully cooked”. Also it’s “good to see less common fish being used such as gurnard or sprats”.
“Get there when they open or queue!” if you visit Mitch Tonks’s upscale riverside chippie (the original of a growing chain) – “a very different fish ’n’ chip restaurant, with all the normal options, plus a large selection of different fish (that can be grilled or pan-fried), plus as many chips as you can eat”. What’s more “children get real meals, not the usual bog-standard choices”.
Mitch Tonks’s “very buzzy” riverside venture, now with a Plymouth sibling, offers “fish ’n’ chips to die for” (and at “reasonable” prices too) from a “wonderful selection” of options.
