“The food is authentic and quite different from average North Indian establishments (dishes from Kerala are featured)” at this “very consistent” spot proclaimed in particular for its “fine dosas”.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

"This is a really excellent and rather rare SOUTH Indian restaurant, which we have been visiting often for years. Please note: it is NOT in Bromhall but on the main Glossop road into the city. Dosas, Idly are excellent starters while chicken chukka packs a punch. For mains, try Alleppey fish curry, Nilgiri mutton, Fisherman's rustic curry etc all brilliant."
