Harden's survey result
The “cool” younger sister of beloved Bell’s Diner – and also nodding to North Africa and Spain – steps out of its sibling’s shadow with “absolutely brilliant” food and “great drinks” (perhaps the result of its unusual policy of only featuring women winemaker’s on its list). A refurb’ is on the cards, with Bellita set to feature on the Beeb’s ‘Project Interiors’, a kind of GBBO for designers due in spring 2019.
The jolly baby sister to Montpelier’s Bell’s Diner manages to outshine it with its “inventive” baby-Bell’s menu nodding to Spain and north Africa. Numerous reports this year honed in on the “interesting lesser known wines” resulting from their “an all-women winemakers” policy.
On the former site of Flinty Red (RIP), a ‘little sister’ to the city’s age-old Bell’s Diner – a bright neighbourhood tapas bar, serving small plates of Spanish-, North African- and Middle Eastern-influenced cuisine. Early feedback is rapturous… “amazing food from the Bell’s Diner gang (although it gets shouty and noisy as it’s often very busy)”.
