“Fantastic coffee” from a “reliably great selection” earns rave reviews for this popular local chain of five coffee shops plus a cart in Brighton station. They also have kitchens, although “it’s not the food, it’s the delicious and locally roasted coffee that means Small Batch gets its votes”. In the dynamic coffee market, branches in Jubilee Street and Worthing have closed down, but a London outpost was scheduled to open in Soho’s Golden Square in late 2021.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
