Harden's survey result
For 25 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. This year diners have submitted over 60,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK.
On the fringes of North Laine, the flagship of this popular local chain is the biggest of its now eight-strong roster, with a four-seater brew bar, indoor and outdoor seating. There’s a good selection of cakes and pastries, but coffee is the star.
This seven-strong local chain has built quite a following over the past decade owing to its “outstanding” small-batch coffee (plus sandwiches, cakes and pastries); this branch also wins praise for its “fun atmosphere” and “efficient service”.
This fast-growing ethical chain “is consistent in the excellence of its coffee”, with “decent sandwiches and cakes and buttery yummy pastries” another plus; “staff are usually hipster types, but friendly and know their stuff”!
“Lovely Fairtrade coffee” is the foundation of this rapidly growing bean-to-cup venture, with eight outposts across the city; “great staff” too.
