“About 30 different types of brew” further boost the civilised tone at this “always crowded” but “very pleasant” tea shop, on the fringe of Barnes, which serves “light lunches” (“interesting salads”) and “sublime cakes”.
“The best tea shop in existence” may be stretching it, but this Barnes tea room is permanently rammed to overflowing onto the pavement. “It’s my favourite place for a reasonably priced ’full English’ tea”, with excellent coffee and “mouthwatering cakes supported by unusual lunchtime salads”.
