A lot of water has passed under the bridge since 2019 when Boris Johnson and former Irish Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar, met for crunch post-Brexit talks at this posh hotel & spa out on the Wirral. On limited feedback, ratings for its grill are good all-round, but more plaudits go to the rather dramatically named ‘Great Wirral Afternoon Tea’ – a “well thought-out offering with good choice of sweet or savoury options” that’s “particularly nice on the terrace or lawn”.

The chef
Stephen Moore is Head Chef of Lawns Grill.
Stephen leads a dedicated and highly skilled team who are so passionate about the food and experience they create for our guests to enjoy.
Having worked in numerous highly acclaimed restaurants across the North West including Lawns previously Stephen has now returned to add his unique style to our new grill concept.
Dishes include fabulous seafood depending on what our local fish monger can supply, lobster, oysters, sole, sea bass to name a few regularly featured. Grill items including aged steaks and sharing items such as Welllington and cote de Boeuf, give a more relaxed feel to dining.
Keeping it in the family, Stephen's wife Dorota is our Head Pastry Chef creating the most wonderful taste sensations to complete dining experience.
