Wayne Thomson’s quite ambitious venture is one of the town’s best culinary destinations. The interior can seem a mite “bland”, but his cooking wins (nearly) unanimous praise – not just the “excellent and reasonable pre-theatre menus” but also a tasting option: “comforting regular dishes mixed with more innovative creations”.

This “small” spot is “excellent value pre-theatre”, and there are also takers for the “interesting tasting menus with good wine matches”; even those who feel that it “lacks a little atmosphere”, are confident that it “won’t disappoint”.

Introducing Nº9 Church Street, Stratford upon Avon’s favourite neighbourhood restaurant.

Since opening its doors in July 2010, Nº9 Church St. has established itself as Stratford upon Avon’s favourite neighbourhood restaurant. Located between the commercial centre and the heart of Stratford upon Avon’s 'Old Town'?, Nº9. Church St. is a grade II listed building dating back over 400 years.

Nº9 Church Street is a town centre restaurant with a neighbourhood feel...serving seasonal British food with a contemporary twist in a relaxed environment with informal yet professional staff. The wine list features some fantastic Artisan wines at sensible prices.

Dark wood tables and chair create a comfortable and refined atmosphere.

On the second floor is another unique feature of the restaurant; 'Upstairs at Nº9', a private dining room offering a choice of the restaurant menus, a Seasonal Tasting Menu with wines to complement each course or Bespoke, tailored menus for parties of up to 10 people.
