Harden's survey result
A smart, roomy and well-established hotel dining room, handy for the station. Popular for business entertaining: it remains worthy of investigation principally on account of its superb wine list, though the food is “good quality” too.
“Near the railway station”, a hotel dining room that’s particularly of note for its “intriguing” wine list (they also run regular wine nights); the ambience attracts the weakest ratings – “the decor and lighting can’t quite decide if it’s a wine bar or proper restaurant” – but all reviews agree the food is very “decent”.
A “very welcoming” hotel dining room, in the city-centre; even the most dismissive report on it ( “menu a bit 1990s”), said the food is “a bit safe but usually pretty good”, with “a great choice of wine” (“fun wine evenings” are a regular feature) to wash it down.
