This “seafront diner with great views” “in a great location” – an Art Deco 1930s solarium overlooking Poole Harbour – serves up an all-day mix of breakfast, snacks, fish and grills, with dinner in the summer months and plenty of al fresco tables. It also offers “rare good value” this close to Sandbanks.

Bang on the beach and with prime views of Poole Bay (especially from the upstairs terrace bar), this 1930s gastropub was once home to the UK’s first solarium; these days it turns out “good food that’s value for money” (a feature “not always associated with Sandbanks” just up the road).

“Right on the beach” and with “fabulous views” of the surf, this converted art deco gastropub offers “good food at a reasonable price”… especially “considering this is practically Sandbanks”.

"This was a very disappointing experience. It started badly as they had lost my reservation details. The menu was very limited with no starters and it did not reflect what was shown on the website. For what was served which seemed to be mainly 'something' with chips it was very expensive. The only redeeming feature was the location but even that seemed slightly disappointing."
