“A tiny touch of France in the centre of Perth, Scotland!” – Marek Michalak’s “little gem” of a city-centre bistro is a “longtime good place” where “the à la carte menu changes seasonally but the daily specials are as they should be – wiped off the blackboard as they sell out. Specialities are steaks and seafood, and the wine list isn’t to be sniffed at either, and won’t break the bank”.

“A little bit of Paris come to Scotland” – or Polish, technically, given the pedigree of chef Marek Michalak – at this city-centre bistro, which has been a “favourite for many years”; (“gourmet evenings are great but even on a run-of-the-mill day the food is always of a very high standard”).

“A little bit of France in Perth!”; while “the chef is Polish and none of the staff would appear to have any connection with ‘la patrie’”, that doesn’t dent the Gallic flair of this “very good value” bistro, deemed “magnifique!” by fans; “go for breakfast, go for lunch and try again in the evening!”

“Very dependable”, “French-bistro-style, comfort food” can come as “a real surprise” at this authentically Gallic spot (especially when you know the chef is actually Polish!). “It’s busy and atmospheric at lunchtime, a bit quieter at night but always good.”
