Harden's survey result
Carl and Beth Shillingford have moved from nearby arts venue, The Quay in Sudbury, to these converted former stables, “in the middle of a small village”. “With a carefully constructed ever-changing menu, Carl manages to forage for and produce the most wonderful food with ingredients garnered from the Suffolk countryside”: “amazing!”.
In arts venue The Quay, Carl Shillingford’s unusual Thursday to Saturday night wild food pop-up delivers “foraged food where the dishes taste even better than their description” (‘White Cloud’ salad, ‘Seagrass Sushi’ etc.) plus “interesting, reasonable wines”; it’s “an experience to really enjoy and remember”.
“A small, intimate restaurant at the top of the Quay theatre” which inspires effusive reports of Carl Shillingford’s “star-quality dishes” from “fabulous ingredients” (for which he himself goes foraging), all “beautifully presented”. NB this pop-up-style spot is open on Friday and Saturday nights only.
“Carl Shillingford’s pop-up restaurant at the Quay theatre, only opens Friday and Saturday night”. “The menu is small, but delicious” – “wonderful foraged and locally sourced food, with three options to choose from: meat, veggie and fish”. Importantly “prices don’t break the bank”.
