“A wonderful joy to visit and to eat at”, say fans of Mark Sebastian & Michelle Fisher’s “consistent” restaurant with rooms, whose beamed and panelled dining room has been a feature of the area for 30 years.
In “a town that has too many chains”, this “very reliable”, oak-beamed restaurant-with-rooms with delicious modern British cuisine is still going strong after three decades, and is a bit of a local star – no wonder it’s always “packed”.
For “never-less-than-enticing, well-delivered and delicious” fare, this “cosy” French-style restaurant-with-rooms ticks all the boxes. Reflecting the fact that the “kitchen supplies meals for the Orient Express”, it remains the very model of consistency (“we’ve been visiting for 17 years and have never had a poor meal”).
“Another scintillating year for this outstanding local” – a “French-influenced” restaurant-with-rooms, which is “supplying increasing amounts of food to the Orient Express”, and where food and service achieve the “highest level”; it’s certainly consistent (“in 20 or more years of visiting we have never had a poor meal!”)
Sebastian’s Restaurant Diner Reviews
"Oswestry is an unspoilt market town in delightful countryside where you can find good food and lodging at Sebastian's. If you are staying you have a warm welcome from the chef/patron who will carry your bag to your room. The same welcome experienced in the restaurant which is rustic with beams etc. You have choices on the menu and the food is interesting and delicious using local ingredients. A very enjoyable experience."
