Summary
A timber-framed, Grade II-listed pub-with-rooms and a nice terrace, just a short drive outside Chester, long known as a top local venue of your classic boozer variety. For one reporter, “while they don’t make it a particular feature, we found the burgers to be singularly good” and, while other dishes were more “variable”, they didn’t mind – this being “a wonderfully comfortable and cosy venue, which is why we come back!”
