New Chiswick neighbourhood bar from Darwin & Wallace takes over the old Fire Station on Chiswick High Road serving cocktails and craft beers alongside Antipodean-influenced cuisine.
Harden's survey result
A “re-invention of the old fire station in Chiswick” – from neighbourhood bar chain Darwin & Wallace – “an open airy space, successfully divided into various differing areas”. Its Aussie-style menu generally produces “well thought-out” and “tasty” dishes, but although service is “friendly” its speed can be “very slack”.
“Extremely buzzy and atmospheric”, neighbourhood bar from chain Darwin & Wallace (in the white-walled and airy setting of a converted old fire station) that’s “a great addition to the Chiswick scene” – much of the appeal is the cocktails and craft beers, but early reports say the Antipodean-influenced scoff can also be “surprisingly good”.
