Harden's says

The involvement of Netflix star (‘Chef's Table') – LA chef, Nancy Silverton – is the justification for including this new (August 2021) pizzeria, adjacent to the foot of the Treehouse Hotel London (which is just across the road from Broadcasting House). Her pizzas are, apparently, “famed for their unique dough recipe and well-structured crusts" and you can round off with her own-brand ice cream: Nancy's Fancy. The plans for the interior are wild – literally! – "you will be transported to a wild Mediterranean garden upon entry… with lush interior planting and trees, and trailing vines crawling up white plaster walls".

“Miss it and miss out!” – the first UK venture from legendary LA baker-chef Nancy Silverton (founder of La Brea Bakery and a James Beard Award winner) is “this pizza joint, tucked away in a hotel opposite Broadcasting House”. It’s “just the best”, with “fab sourdough crust and great toppings” – altogether “very special!”

“Brilliant pizza” from Netflix star, Nancy Silverton, justifies a trip to this bustling pit stop, at the foot of a hotel opposite Broadcasting House. As the FT’s Tim Hayward so memorably put it in his October 2021 review: ‘Goethe thought architecture was music, frozen; Silverton proves that meatballs are beatitude, minced’!

The involvement of a Netflix star (‘Chef’s Table’) – LA chef, Nancy Silverton – is the justification for including this new, July 2021 pizzeria (with ‘wild Mediterranean garden’ interior), just across the road from Broadcasting House. Her pizzas are, apparently, ‘famed for their unique dough recipe and well-structured crusts’ and you can round off with her own-brand ice cream: Nancy’s Fancy. It opened too late for survey feedback, but an early review from The Standard’s David Ellis was cautiously upbeat on the quality of the pizza: “I’ll need to wait and see but there might just be enough here to make Silverton a star this side of the pond, too”.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
