A first foray into west London for this ever-so-cool (and ever-so-messy) burger chain.

There’s “clear blue water between Patty & Bun and other wannabe mass burger offerings” – the only drawback is “you have to queue all the time”. Having started out as a pop-up, the small chain has grown to eight branches and two spin-offs: Smash Patty and Jefferies, a chicken specialist. The core of the offer is “burgers dripping in all the good stuff, loud tunes, friendly vibes and lots of napkins”. Top Tip – the “legendary lamb burger always makes me smile”.
“People waiting outside in the rain for a table speaks volumes” for this expanding chain (the latest branches are in TV Centre and Borough High Street), which “really fulfils the craving for a juicy, tasty burger” (and is the equal-highest rated in town in that department). Other elements of the formula are, however, “nothing fancy”. Top Menu Tip: “the Lambshank Redemption is unparalleled in the hugely contested world of burgers”.
“Be prepared to use loads of napkins, it gets too messy without a plate...” at these “quirky and cool cafés” whose “delicious-beyond-compare dirty burgers are just the right side of sloppy” and in contention for “London’s best”.
“To-die-for”, “messy” burgers – amongst “the best in London?” – are to be had at these “super hip” pitstops. “Count yourself lucky if you get a table at the James Street original!”
