Mixed and limited feedback on this smart Notting Hill Italian. To fans it’s a favourite with top class cooking (speciality black and white truffles) and a romantic interior – to the odd detractor it’s not bad, merely “forgettable”.
This “reliable Italian with good wine and friendly staff” is a smartly turned-out Notting Hill fixture, with a solid menu of classic dishes. Many of the ingredients used are imported from Italy – including the black and white truffles which are a house speciality.
“Reliable and very friendly Italian”, which – along with its nearby siblings Mediterraneo and Osteria Basilico – is ‘part of the furniture’ in the heart of Notting Hill; truffles are something of a speciality.
Notting Hill offers up a “good local Italian” with a “very high standard of Roman-inspired food”; expect to receive “a warm welcome, very generous helpings of well-prepared dishes and a lively atmosphere”.
