Summary
In the un-lovely shadow of the Trellick Tower, this ambitious newcomer occupies a stylishly converted three-floor Victorian boozer, whose latest former incarnation was as West Thirty Six (RIP). The second venture from Luca Longobardi and Chris Denney of 2017’s smash hit ‘108 Garage’, it’s inspired surprisingly little press attention (perhaps because of its obscure-whatever-the-trendies-may-tell-you setting), but such feedback as we have is upbeat, praising its “Asian-inspired” cuisine as “fresh, light and really great”. The first floor raw bar serves Nikkei (a fusion of Peruvian and Japanese cuisines) fare, while the second floor houses a private members’ tequila and mezcal bar.
Summary
The co-founders of Notting-Hill’s awesome 108 Garage are to launch a second venture nearby, on the former site of Victorian boozer West Thirty Six (RIP) in late 2017; the new place will cover three storeys and include a Japanese robata grill, a private BBQ area, a raw bar serving Nikkei (Peruvian-Japanese fusion) cuisine and a private member’s champagne bar.
