Summary

Gordon Ramsay’s Mayfair outfit was a star of the London gastronomic scene a decade ago, under founding chef Jason Atherton (who is now long gone), but “has lost its way” bigtime in recent years. True, some fans do say it’s “simply amazing”, but even they can find it “eye-wateringly expensive” – and too many critics complain of a “below average” or even “awful” experience, in “an unsympathetic room that could be an airport restaurant”.

Summary

A decade ago, with Jason Atherton running the kitchen, Gordon Ramsay’s Mayfair outfit produced some of the most exciting meals in London. Nowadays feedback is much more limited, scores are relatively low across the board, and a significant number of reporters find the level of cooking “unacceptable”.

Summary

It seems a long time since this Gordon Ramsay operation in Mayfair was the talk of the town; fans do still proclaim its “well-executed fusion combinations”, but oftentimes reporters think it’s borderline “awful”, and “hugely overpriced”.

Summary

The food is “first-rate”, say fans of this Gordon Ramsay production in Mayfair, where dishes are served tapas-style; critics, though, just find the whole operation “haphazard” and “confused” – at the prices, it “just doesn’t make sense”.

"Good value set lunch - and quite good food. But it is just a bit 'hotelly'."
