Harden's survey result
Summary
“For a cuzza in Soho”, this “good Indian in the centre of all the action” is just the job thanks to its “flavoursome and so tasty” cooking and “top price/quality ratio”. Family run since 1988, its unfashionably traditional basement setting is also a great antidote when you’re sick of being dazzled by trendy new restaurant design-concepts.

For 32 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

Gopal’s of Soho Restaurant Diner Reviews

"A Tuesday Lunchtime may not have been a great time to visit from an atmosphere perspective but the food was excellent with everything packed full of flavour. I was less impressed with the service though, we were the only people there yet it was slow and inattentive with dishes just being plonked anywhere rather than taken to the person who had ordered them. I could live with this though, such was the quality of the food"
