Once known as Claude's Kitchen, the fine dining restaurant above Amuse Bouche is now Upstairs at Amuse.
Harden's survey result
Claude Compton has won an enthusiastic following for his “excellent and inventive” cooking, deployed in a quirky dining room above the Amuse Bouche fizz bar opposite Parsons Green station. But the food level has dropped a notch this year – “sometimes it misses, and when it does it misses badly”.
Claude Compton’s “quirky neighbourhood gem”, upstairs from the “heaving” Amuse Bouche fizz bar by Parsons Green station, serves “interesting but tasty food in generous portions”. “The cooking is confident and the service charming” – “I went home feeling inspired and satisfied”.
Claude Compton’s “enjoyably idiosyncratic” dining room upstairs from Amuse Bouche champagne bar (and opposite Parsons Green tube station) has a “short menu of very good food”. “An unexpected treat to eat so well – and so inventively – in Fulham”.
“Lucky Parson’s Green locals” to have this “special little marvel” opposite the tube, with a ground floor bar and cosy upstairs dining room – its “interesting small menu” is “always a treat”.
