Harden's survey result
“A strong new arrival in SW4” – “inventive modern British cooking” is “served by friendly, informal but informative, staff in a space which is larger than it appears from outside” at Jake Boyce’s year-old venture, tipped for its good brunch.
British food with an International twist is promised at this new Clapham Common dining spot (literally a little fish in a big pond, hence the name); chef Jake Boyce formerly headed up the team at Jason Atherton’s Social Wine and Tapas. The all-day restaurant has a range of tricks to attract the local hipsters – not just brunch and a Robata grill, but also breakfast cocktails, ’pay-as-you-drink’ wine by the bottle, a walled garden and an honesty box.
For 30 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
