Harden's says
Aaron Burgess-Smith and Tony Lam (the duo behind Kanada-Ya on the same Soho street) have teamed up on another Japanese restaurant, named Machiya, after the stacked wooden town houses in Kyoto. Machiya is open all day, with a late-night bar downstairs offering traditional Japanese cocktails.
Harden's survey result
For 25 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. This year diners have submitted over 60,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK.
Summary
Positive early reports on this “yummy new Japanese from the folks behind Kanada-Ya” (just down the street). Upstairs it’s a neutrally decorated café with a to-the-point short menu – downstairs a bar serves a wide range of sakes and whiskys.
