The “very pleasant surroundings” of an “excellent dining room overlooking Cannizaro Park” are let down by the consistently disappointing meals and “don’t care” attitude of staff at this Hotel du Vin outfit. “Someone rescue it – it’s a waste of a fantastic space”.
A “wonderful orangery” with “lovely views over Wimbledon Common” is let down by “dreadful food” and “indifferent service” at this Hotel du Vin venue. “What a shame to ruin this beautiful location” is typical of many complaints.
With its “beautiful position on Wimbledon Common” and “stunning views over Cannizaro Park”, this Hotel du Vin venue should be a winner and “it’s hard to believe you’re half an hour from central London”. But eating here is an “unpredictable experience”, with too many complaints: “the Caesar salad was neither Caesar nor salad”… “the location is so special, but the food is so average”.
This “romantic” and “plush” venue on the edge of Wimbledon Common, nowadays part of the Hotel du Vin group, offers dining in its bistro or Orangerie. Opinion is split on the experience, ranging from “very enjoyable” to “terrible”.
Cannizaro House, Hotel du Vin Restaurant Diner Reviews
"Great value for money set lunch and good food too. The wine list is interesting and very reasonably priced, the room is light and airy in a superb location. Service could be a bit sharper. With free parking (in Wimbledon!) as well we reckon it the best deal in our part of the world."
