Summary

The “very pleasant surroundings” of an “excellent dining room overlooking Cannizaro Park” are let down by the consistently disappointing meals and “don’t care” attitude of staff at this Hotel du Vin outfit. “Someone rescue it – it’s a waste of a fantastic space”.

Summary

With its “beautiful position on Wimbledon Common” and “stunning views over Cannizaro Park”, this Hotel du Vin venue should be a winner and “it’s hard to believe you’re half an hour from central London”. But eating here is an “unpredictable experience”, with too many complaints: “the Caesar salad was neither Caesar nor salad”“the location is so special, but the food is so average”.

"Great value for money set lunch and good food too. The wine list is interesting and very reasonably priced, the room is light and airy in a superb location. Service could be a bit sharper. With free parking (in Wimbledon!) as well we reckon it the best deal in our part of the world."
