Harden's says

In Wandsworth’s ‘Ram’s Quarter’ – the shiny new development on the site that was for 500 years Young’s Brewery – this ambitious venture opened in January 2020. Chefs Assem Abdel Hady and Andres Bernal offer multi-course tasting menus (typicallly about £65 for 8 courses) of a level that you would not expect given the unpretentious modern decor and a hard-to-shake memory of what Wandsworth town centre used to look like! There’s outdoor seating too, and a cut-down version of the offering at lunch.

In the centre of trafficky downtown Wandsworth, this “very plain room in the brewery development” is a somewhat unsung hero of the area. The young team is headed by Le Cordon Bleu alumni Assem Abdel Hady and Andres Bernal and brings genuine gastronomic ambition to the ‘Ram Quarter’ with an “eight-course tasting menu at a reasonable price”“every course is tasty” and some nothing less than “superb”.

“They’re trying hard with the food here… perhaps too hard” – but that’s about the worst anyone has to say about this ‘relaxed, fine-dining concept’, whose bare-brick walls are part of Wandsworth’s ‘Ram Quarter’. It’s the first venture of Cordon-Bleu-trained Assem Abdel Hady and Andres Bernal, plus chef Sebastian Rast and presents an 8-course tasting menu ‘drawing inspiration from the multicultural melting pot of the community in which it is based’. Even if “not every dish finds its mark, they are always beautifully presented” and some excellent overall meals are reported. Now entering its third year, it’s yet really to make waves, but worth a try.

For 34 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
