Close to leafy Richmond Park, this 18th-century inn is a “lovely local boozer”, with a “nice, quaint inside” for the winter months, and a “restful outside terrace that makes a perfect setting for a drink outdoors”. Service is “very friendly” too, so it’s a shame they don’t make a bit more of an effort on the mostly enjoyable pub grub: “they don’t aim for fancy, difficult dishes, but basic execution can disappoint”.
This 18th-century inn with a big outside terrace inhabits a leafy and lovely East Sheen conservation area, and also trades well on its proximity to Richmond Park. It wins praise from most (if not quite all) reporters for its “good, honest pub food”.
“Always busy with good vibes” – this attractive hostelry (with large terrace) occupies a picturesque corner of East Sheen and is perfect after a yomp with your dog through neighbouring Richmond Park. “It does many traditional pub staples, as well as ‘smarter’ dishes, and the food is restaurant quality.”
A perfect pitstop after a walk in Richmond Park, a few minutes away – this “kid and dog-friendly” pub in a quiet East Sheen lane boasts a wonderful outside terrace as well as an extremely atmospheric interior. All this plus “quality” cooking and “the nicest staff”.
