Harden's says

Crystal Palace sodo pizza spot hops into Nunhead (just on the border of Peckham) with its second London site. Just like the original, the new restaurant will take great pride in its British Rye flour sourdough bases, cooked at 400 degrees in a wood-fired oven.

“Always fresh sourdough pizza” has helped build a strong local following for this hip southeast London group, with outlets in Crystal Palace, Nunhead, West Norwood, Herne Hill and Elephant & Castle. A new natural wine selection from specialist importer Les Caves de Pyrène is now available alongside the craft beers on tap. Top Tip – “make sure you leave room for the ice cream”.

This “highly recommended” South London operation gives an original twist to “sourdough wood-fired pizzas”, served with craft beer and “excellent gelato and desserts”. With branches in Crystal Palace, Nunhead, West Norwood and Elephant & Castle, they have also taken over the Art Deco café at Brockwell Park Lido, where “cheap and cheerful cocktails and pizza on the waterside make you feel you’re on holiday”. Top Tip: “their courgette chimichurri pizza with added goat’s cheese is highly addictive”.

“Creative pizzas” on a ‘London sourdough’ base meet a changing list of craft beers at this “vibrant” southeast London group which has spread from Crystal Palace to Nunhead and West Norwood. It’s apparently named after the progeny of a conjugal union between the Aztec gods of fermenting and brewing. Top Tip – “if it’s on, the octopus special pizza is incredible”.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
