For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

"Many popular dishes were already unavailable at 7.30pm on Saturday. What was ordered was not good at all. Paté seemed cold from the fridge. Chicken breast "burgers" were unpalatably dry. Obviously a shortage of waiting staff, but those that existed seemed distracted. Bill was wrong. And a chain of this size should accept American Express. A disappointing contrast with our most recent visit, only four weeks ago on a Saturday morning. That was the most recent; this will be our last."
