Although not the most obvious partnership, this "bakery and wine bar" is from the team behind Lyle's, so it should work out just fine; it's also "inspired by the buvettes of Paris and pintxos bars of San Sebastian".
Harden's survey result
James Lowe and John Ogier – of epic Shoreditch legend Lyle’s – plus backers JKS Restaurants launched this all-day bakery and wine bar venture in Borough Market in mid-July, too late for survey feedback. The offering stretches from coffee and croissants in the morning, through small plates at lunch, to a more wine-bar vibe in the evening. Early press reports are predictably adulatory… but they are probably correct.
Flor Restaurant Diner Reviews
"Having eaten at a number of 'tapas' places recently, this seems the best. Despite Covid 19 we made our way fro our neighbour's 70th, up rather tight spiral staircase to an airy first floor space - there is also a ground floor space that is really shoulder to shoulder. Friendly service. Interesting wines on offer - we particularly enjoyed a very 'sherry' like Loire as an aperitif, and a Provençal rose with the meal. Outstanding blood orange salad and a burrata and onion agro dolce salad as well. Our wives loved the lemon some and the beef was equally delicious. Perhaps the only dish that was not quite exciting was the tripe ( a firm favourite with myself and the other husband). Just not quite spicy enough. Wonderful bread and a delicious single oyster in a herb green sauce. We had come on the recommendation of a good friend - she had had brain for the first time and enjoyed it - sadly for this brain fan, it wa son longer on the menu. We look forward to a return."
