Harden's says

Out goes the Polish vodka and in comes the jerk chicken, oxtail curry and flying fish at this Waterloo site. For over a decade, this intriguing former Georgian factory (a coachbuilding works) traded as Baltic (RIP). But it’s now in the hands of Michael Hanbury who is aiming to highlight an evolved form of Jamaican cuisine. A rum library and cocktails too – Whispering Death anyone?

Our reviews are based on an annual survey of ordinary diners which runs in Spring each year. But this establishment has not yet gathered enough feedback for our editors to write it up.

For 30 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

"A brilliant addition to the london eating scene. I had a brilliant salad starter, delicious chicken rice and peas and excellent plantain tarte tartin (butter pastry spot on) washed down by two generous Windward Old Fashioneds. Excellent value, superb service and attention and spotless facilities thrown in. Could not ask for anything more and will certainly be back with friends. An absolute gem of a new opening."
