A new venture from Danish-born restaurateur Soren Jessen (of the City's 1 Lombard Street) offering Nordic-inspired cooking, Smørrebrød sandwiches and Scandinavian pastries. It joins the ranks of restaurants at the City’s dining hub Bloomberg Arcade.
Harden's survey result
“Odd location in the midst of the City for a modern Scandinavian restaurant” – Soren Jessen’s (of No.1 Lombard Street) “spacious” yearling in the new Bloomberg HQ has “quality Scandi decor with an open kitchen”, but its clean-living associations are perhaps slightly at odds with its site, amongst all the money factories. “The smørrebrød (open sandwiches), particularly the pickled herring, are fantastic and the small but thoughtful wine list and menu are well thought out”, but it can “seem quite pricey for what you get”.
