Harden's says

Founded in Århus in 2014, this Danish steakhouse group has opened its first venue outside Scandinavia in the City of London's Devonshire Square. Late hours (kitchen until 11pm, bar until 2.30am) make it useful for winding down after a long day's work.

Devonshire Square, tucked away near Liverpool Street and Soho’s cute St Anne’s Court are the locations for these Scandi steakhouses: arrivals from a Copenhagen chain via outlets in Oslo and Stavanger. Reports so far score hits and misses in both sites – “the food was so-so and service was stretched…”, “the first beef came out overcooked but the staff were great and brought out another set that was rare and cooked to perfection…”. Similar variability was evident in the September 2024 review from The Guardian’s Grace Dent, who found service “friendly, but in that sleepy, noncommittal way… gorgeous [steak]… cooked to a perfect medium rare” but other dishes “comfort food with little finesse”.

Summary

This brick-lined City steakhouse yearling in Devonshire Square – part of a Scandi chain with branches in Copenhagen, Oslo, Aarhus and Stavanger – so far has generated limited feedback (so no rating as yet), but all positive: “tried this for a family lunch and although the menu is limited it was excellent”. Hungry? For £69, you can indulge in an ‘All you can eat’ meat-fest, with bottomless booze for 1 1/2 hours. In summer 2024, they opened their second branch in Soho, in the Kingly Court space that was formerly Block Soho (RIP).

For 34 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
