This pair of “casual”, well-located all-day brasseries serve an “eclectic menu” from breakfast on, but it’s the “friendly ambience that’s a real winner”. The Sloane Square branch is “very Chelsea”“great for lunch” and “wonderfully convenient pre- and post-show for Cadogan Hall or Royal Court”.

Opinions divide on these “spacious” and well-located all-day brasseries in Chelsea (right on Sloane Square) and the City (in Broadgate). Fans vaunt them as “very pleasant” for many occasions, and particularly for a business lunch or “excellent breakfast/brunch”. Critics, though, hate them for being “so noisy” and dismiss the food as “overpriced and disappointing”.

“A Sloaney spot for ladies who lunch” – the well-known, “very lively” Chelsea branch right on Sloane Square that’s also convenient for “business lunches or drinks” (no-one talks about its City offshoot). The food avoided the drubbing of prior surveys and won consistent support this year.

Attractive bar/restaurant on Sloane Square inspiring very mixed feelings: fans say it delivers “a buzzy atmosphere and surprisingly good food” but for its harshest critics “it’s a package made in hell”: “slow, crowded, with indifferent service” and “awful, expensive cooking”. (Limited feedback on its Broadgate sibling).
