Harden's survey result
“Unusual toppings that actually work” (“BBQ sauce!”) and “the best-ever, super-thin crusts” are hallmarks of this “achingly East London trendy” quartet of “excellent” and “inventive” pizza-stops.
“Some of the pizzas would horrify an Italian” – “try the lamb kebab-style!”. “They’re definitely not authentic, but they’re consistently superb”, say the growing legion of fans of this hip and “very self-aware” East London group, which opened a new Leytonstone branch this year (and also dug a toehold into West London in the new Market Halls development on Fulham Broadway).
“Delicious, freshly made pizza with unusual toppings” attract raves for these hip pizzerias in Clapton, Walthamstow and Finsbury Park. They’re “friendly”, but “pretty basic” – “not a place to hang around”.
“Inventive pizza in hipster-land” is the promise at this “too-cool-for-school” Clapton haunt, which now also has a trendy outpost in Finsbury Park too.
