Harden's survey result
Summary
“The smell of the coffee being ground in the basement is intoxicating!” at this large, “hipster vibe” Shoreditch coffee shop, whose origins are down-under in New Zealand. “It has the perfect vibe for brunch and coffee”, with exposed brickwork and central island coffee bar – “the hot brunch dishes are decent, but the coffee is outstanding!” In late 2019, they opened a second branch (not counting Auckland and New Plymouth) in London Fields.
Summary
“Damn fine coffee! Nuff said!” – “complex and expertly made” – is the focus at this “super-cool spot” in Shoreditch (the offshoot of an NZ original). The beans are “roasted downstairs” with wonderful aromas floating up from the big machines in the basement, while upstairs a “funky crowd enjoy food and drinks” from the “best breakfast” to late-night cocktails. A second London branch opened in Bethnal Green in late-2019.
For 31 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
