January 2020: Bong Bong's has launched an alternative to Sunday lunch, a traditional Filipino kamayan (which means 'to eat with your hands' in Tagalog); dishes are loaded onto a table covered with banana leaves - there's no plates or cutlery!

The BBQ Dreamz team - Lee Johnson and Sinead Campbell - that won My Million Pound Menu have finally opened their own restaurant, this Hackney spot with dishes inspired by Johnson’s Filipino heritage.
