“A really good all-round experience”, this snazzy five-year-old above the Trinity shopping centre is one of four D&D London venues in Leeds, and its first Japanese venture anywhere. The menu majors on sushi and hot dishes from the robata grill to be shared – ‘Issho’ is Japanese for ‘together’ – and there’s a glamorous cocktail bar, Kori, with large choices of sake and Japanese whisky.

“I must confess I thought it was going to be a classic style-over-substance place – actually it has style AND substance!” – D&D London’s sexy looking yearling on the rooftop of the Trinity shopping centre with terrace and sleek Kori Bar for cocktails wins nothing but praise for its “great Japanese small-plate dining possibilities” which encompass tempura, sushi, robatayaki, and so on.

For 31 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
